Showcasing Venezuela's World-Class Oil and Gas Industry

Venezuela Energy Week (VEW) 2026 takes place in Caracas, Venezuela, from 26–29 October, uniting government leaders, investors, and industry executives to showcase Venezuela's world-class oil and gas sector. By bringing together upstream development, gas monetization, refining rehabilitation, and strategic financing under one roof, VEW 2026 highlights the country's most bankable energy projects, forges strategic partnerships, and accelerates investment into one of the world's largest hydrocarbon resource bases.

As Venezuela's flagship global energy summit, VEW 2026 capitalizes on the country's renewed international engagement and landmark 2026 hydrocarbon reforms. With ministerial sessions, investment forums, bilateral meetings, and deal-focused discussions, the event converts dialogue into tangible outcomes — unlocking opportunities across Venezuela's full energy value chain, from the 303-billion-barrel Orinoco Belt to critical refining and infrastructure projects.

Why Venezuela?

3-featuredimage

One of the World’s Most Resource-Rich
Countries

Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world,
with approximately 303 billion barrels of oil, as well
as substantial natural gas resources, estimated at
195 to 205 trillion cubic feet. These resources offer
significant long-term potential for energy supply,
security and growth.

Significant Production Upside

Historically, Venezuela has operated as a major
oil producer, with national production peaking at
approximately 3.7 million barrels per day. At present,
production stands at 860,000 to 1.14 million barrels per
day, with plans to expand capacity exponentially.

Established Energy Infrastructure

Venezuela holds extensive upstream reserves,
refining capacity exceeding one million barrels per
day, established export and pipeline infrastructure,
a highly skilled workforce and its national oil company,
PDVSA.

Renewed International Engagement

New opportunities for international collaboration are
opening up, as global companies look to expand and
restart operations in Venezuela. International energy firms are actively pursuing production growth and new investments.
