Venezuela Energy Week Brings National Industry Together in Caracas as Service Providers Eye New Opportunities
Held as Venezuela advances efforts to strengthen its energy industry and attract new partnerships, the reception highlighted the growing role of domestic companies in supporting future investment, infrastructure development and operational activity across the oil and gas value chain. The event provided a platform for local businesses to connect with industry peers, identify areas for collaboration and position their capabilities within Venezuela’s evolving energy landscape.
“It is important to bring international voices to this event, but we must also ensure Venezuelans themselves are at the center of the conversation, because they are the ones rebuilding the future of their country’s energy sector,” NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman, African Energy Chamber said during the reception.
With production growth, field redevelopment, infrastructure modernization and technology deployment emerging as key priorities for Venezuela’s energy sector, national service providers are expected to play a central role in enabling future projects. Opportunities span a wide range of activities, including drilling and well services, engineering and maintenance, equipment supply, digital solutions, logistics, environmental services and operational support. By connecting local capabilities with international partners and investors, Venezuela’s service sector will be critical to supporting increased activity and strengthening the partnerships needed to advance the country’s energy ambitions.
The Caracas gathering also reinforced Venezuela Energy Week’s broader international engagement strategy, following a successful London Industry Showcase held last month. The London event brought together investors, financial institutions, international energy companies, commodity traders and service providers to examine commercial opportunities in Venezuela’s energy sector and build momentum ahead of the flagship summit.
The global outreach continues this month with the upcoming Houston Industry Showcase, which will connect Venezuela’s energy opportunities with one of the world’s largest oil and gas service and investment hubs. The Houston event is expected to bring together exploration and production companies, oilfield service providers, engineering firms, financial institutions and other industry stakeholders to explore potential areas for commercial cooperation.
